Big-12 Tournament Game #3, Kansas (37-21) vs. Baylor (28-24)

Kansas and Baylor have both been eliminated from contention from the Big-12 Tournament's championship game, nevertheless, the two teams will play a final game Saturday.  First pitch 9AM.

Baylor still has a very slim chance of being picked for an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament.  Kansas is in pretty good shape for the same honor, but I wouldn't consider KU an absolute lock.  Tomorrow's game will be the team's last chance to slightly polish their resumes.

Kansas' 9-3 loss to Texas on Thursday was pretty disheartening.  Texas ace Chance Ruffin shut KU down on only four hits.  T.J. Walz had an off performance on the wrong day.  Walz gave up eight runs in five innings.  David Narodowski was the only Jayhawk to have a truly memorable day.  The KU shortstop hit a solo homerun in the 4th inning, his second homer in two games.  Narodowki also started a 6-4-3 triple play in the 9th inning.  Also worth mention:  Tony Thompson went 1-4 with his 25th double.  Nick Faunce went 1-2 with an RBI triple.  Brett Bochy retired all four men he faced out of the bullpen.

After the jump a link to the KU recap and the box score from Thursday's game.
