Pretty much a foregone conclusion, but the AP announced today that Bill Self won the Coach of the Year award.

Good to see the national recognition for a great coach.
I’m guessing this will probably irritate Mizzou fans a bit – in particular one Mr. Jack Harry of KSHB sports in KC who has repeatedly claimed on TV and on the radio that Mike Anderson should have been the Big 12 coach of the year and that it was a joke that the voting was done before the season was over. Well, here we have a major coaching award handed out after the season had ended for both KU and MU and Anderson still did not win. Sounds like Anderson didn’t even come in 2nd.
Wow, this just slipped by me.
