Ok,

time to get the ball rolling!

I just got back from your mom's basement.

by Warden11 on Mar 15, 2009 1:08 PM CDT reply actions

OK, I'm here now.

Glad Duke is up. I really want a 3-seed, and will do anything it takes to keep it up there. Even rooting for Duke.

I’m torn on rooting for Mississippi State or Tennessee. I suppose I’ll root for the Bulldogs but I kind of want the Vols to win just so my bracket can more accurately be compared.

And, finally, go STEPHEN F. AUSTIN!

Secrets of Shootings for

holy shit, when duke shoots like this they're unbelievably good

i mean they already do everything else right. other than a true post player they’re a really well-rounded team

by Danny Satan on Mar 15, 2009 1:15 PM CDT reply actions

when they shoot this well.

I still think a team like Missouri would give them hell.

I just got back from your mom's basement.

Paulus actually rides a ton of pine this year.

Kryzewiskewioajeo gave up on him early in the ACC season.

I just got back from your mom's basement.

by Warden11 on Mar 15, 2009 1:19 PM CDT up reply actions

i thought the only thing in his way was the recent emergence of that freshman?

i’ve only seen 3 duke games this year though and they were all recent, so my sample size is limited

by Danny Satan on Mar 15, 2009 1:21 PM CDT up reply actions

Just looked,

17 mpg this season.

Last season was 27
32 a game his freshman and sophomore seasons.

nice stat

Check out his page on statsheet.

Pretty funny graphs comparing this year and last year for his minutes and points.

I just got back from your mom's basement.

by Warden11 on Mar 15, 2009 1:26 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah.

But there is no way a team can shoot that well for six straight games.

Last year, freakin’ Belmont nearly beat them, and should have, because Duke had an off shooting day.

Just imagine what Louisville got their hands on them when they couldn’t hit a shot.

by rockchalk on Mar 15, 2009 1:23 PM CDT up reply actions

hahah louisville is another team that would bury duke

i dunno why i like them so much this year, they just seem like a team that never beats themselves, which is unfortunately more than i can say for one other top-flight team

I didn’t understnad it.

by rockchalk on Mar 15, 2009 1:36 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

basketball hadn’t started yet, and I saw on E! there was a show called, “Hot Girls in Scary Places”, where these 3 USC cheerleaders went through this “haunted” hospital, I thought it was kind of funny….then Commando with the Guvna was on which is a classic Arnold flick (it was on AMC surprisingly)….Me and Warden were enjoying the greatness of it all, though, if you haven’t seen it I suggest you check it out, hillarious

by I need more Esteban on Mar 15, 2009 1:39 PM CDT up reply actions

Good to know.

I can’t wait to watch this season.

Think I will re-watch the first two seasons first, to get into complete FNL mode.

It’s as good as it gets, without doubt. My favorite drama, ever.

Eli Stone is another awesome one, too, though.

It was awesome, though.

Not quite as good as FNL, but definitely up there.

by rockchalk on Mar 15, 2009 2:01 PM CDT up reply actions

One of the best shows ever.

I watched the first two seasons on DVD, and it took me 10 days to get through all of them.

Ridiculously addictive.

Haven’t started the third season, yet. Wait until the year is over and watch them all boom-boom-boom. Just like 24, Lost, etc.

he plays a washed-up major league fireballer tryin to make it back to the big leagues, but in the meantime coaching a high school gym class and living with his brother, wife n kids in his hometown

so vulgar and so awesome

i was cruisin the other day and i switched one of the chi-town sports radio stations and this guy was going on like a 20-minute tangent about how bad the show is

Probably St. Mary's.

I’m sticking with Arizona. At this point, I don’t actually think they get in, but they deserve to, so I’ll stick with them.

Same with San Diego State. So, bummer Gaels, but I think they get kicked out.

That's what they said

this morning on ESPN. I tend to agree. They just aren’t the same without Mills, and he isn’t himself right now. They are taking up space. And by the way, AMAZING work on the projection thing you did last night. INCREDIBLY done.

Thanks a bunch.

I appreciate it.

And yeah, St. Mary’s with Patty Mills is one of the better teams in the country, but they aren’t NCAA-worthy without a completely healthy Mills.

It sucks, but them’s the breaks.

9 seconds left and down by 1, Tennessee ball. I wish it was Miss St’s ball, make a shot and keep playing.

Holy hell.

That was a good call, too, I think.

No one ever enforces it, but IIRC there is a rule that says you can’t call a timeout after 4 seconds. The ref had clearly gotten to 4, and then Tennessee called timeout.

Good call.

Not sure if anyone's around, but..

Why is Oklahoma getting seeded above us? What have they accomplished this season that KU hasn’t? Do they have as good a win as over Washington? I don’t think they do. And this ignores the fact that WE WENT INTO THEIR ARENA AND BEAT THEM. Sure, Griffin was out. But you can’t just pretend that would’ve been an OU win if he had been in the lineup!

Someone give me some logic here please.

by KennyGregoryRockThaCradle on Mar 15, 2009 3:50 PM CDT reply actions

I agree entirely.

I was going to do something comparing our resume to theirs, just never got around to it.

It’s stupid, I think.

Basically, they are just getting a free pass for the two losses without Griffin. And, apparently their loss up in Mizzou Arena never happened.

It doesn’t make sense to me. And who knows, maybe the Committee will see that too and bump someone else up to the 2-seed line. We don’t deserve it, but other teams deserve it over Boomer Sooner. Like Villanova, Syracuse or hell, even Missouri.
