Well, with the win at Oklahoma, we saw that Oklahoma had difficulty without Blake Griffin(obviously). But are either Sherron or Cole that important to us? Do we have the people to step up if either gets hurt, or is just completely off one game? Well, I did a little research, and you might know this stuff already, but I found it intriguing.
|Margin of Victory||Pts||FG %||3FG %||TO||Pts||FG %||Rebs||TO|
(ignore that border above the last line[Oklahoma game], the spreadsheet refused to cooperate.)
In case you couldn't tell, the losses are highlighted in red. And all stats came from Statsheet.com
What I get from these stats is that if either one, or both, of Sherron or Cole is off, we have a tendency to lose. Luckily, we haven't had any major injuries, and when one can't find his game, the other usually does. But on the occasions that both struggle, the team struggles.
Cole has had only 4 games with a FG% <50. Three of those we lost. Cole needs to make shots. And Sherron's highest FG% in the 4 losses was a 42.9%.
The fact that these two are our offense goes without saying. But when it comes to tourney time, these guys had better be on top of their game, or we're gone pretty quickly.
Feel free to add your analysis, and to add on to the chart anything you want. I just wanted to get this going, you guys can let your smart minds run wild.
And if anything is wrong with this post, can someone who knows what they're doing please fix it?
