Baseball: KU vs. Memphis, First Pitch 1:30PM
Rain has caused a lot of shuffling of the baseball schedule this weekend in Tennessee. Originally KU was to play single games vs. Bradley on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a wash, and now the Jayhawks will play Memphis, not Bradley on Sunday. First pitch should be around 1:30 and the game will be web casted.
Memphis defeated the Hawks on Friday afternoon 5-4. The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth of Kansas closer Paul Smyth. Starting pitcher Lee Ridenhour will make his KU debut. Ridenhour was one of the two highly recruited freshman who turned down pro offers to play at Kansas.

Memphis 2 - KU 1 FINAL
KU got a great start from Cameron Selik, and good relief work from Thomas Marcin and Colton Murray, but the bats never warmed up. The Hawks were limited to three hits today.
KU will head to Arkansas with a 1-2 record.

Thanks for your update JQ
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
Wish they had been more fun to write up.
I better get used to it this year. The Hawks will take their lumps, especially early.
