Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

Hiphopopatomas and the gang over at Oread Boom Kings present the list of top 7 candidates Lew is looking at right now, according to their inside sources. Biggest surprise: #3.

Personally, I think Lew is doing a great job of flooding the marketplace with rumors so that no one has any idea of what he's actually doing. A very media savvy move, in the wake of how public the Mangino proceedings were, IMO.

FWIW...

OBK also reports in the comments that Harbaugh is being interviewed today. Everything is everything- the carousel just keeps going around…

that makes me cry a little

I don’t know why I’m so attached to a coach we don’t even have (yet).

Labba should be happy...

…it says Bowen looks to be maybe moving onto Florida State.

I don't know, I like to think that things started out initially with good intentions, but then we just loused it up. Kind of like intelligence. We have this glorious thing that allowed us to survive for millenia and now we use it to write porn film plots involving pterodactyls. Talk about wasting the gift.

I would hate to lose Bowen...

I know you haven’t been a fan…but I’d like to keep that guy around

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.

Good recruiter

Our defenses have been terrible the past two seasons. So…yeah. Hopefully the next guy brings in talent AND our D plays better

Also, I'm glad to see Harbaugh at the top...

…as he just seems to be doing really well, but I don’t know if he wants to leave Stanford, he’s got a good thing going on there, it seems.

Houston Nutt? Seriously? I mean, he’s good, but…seriously?

And I just can’t get excited for Turner Gill, though I’m not sure why.

I'm curious about...

the decisions on assistants…what has made certain ones(Beaty, Bowen and Miller) as interim and Warriner not.

Curious if it was player input based on the investigation? Lews own personal feelings on the individual coaches? What was it?

Seems that some have been told they have a very good chance of being around whereas others who are still technically on staff appear to be likely out the door. Probably one of the more overlooked aspects of this whole deal is the handling of the assistants at the moment.

Warriner could easily be out of town

Depending on who takes over as head coach. If it is a coach with a different base offense, etc then Warriner who used the spread his whole career likely could leave. Having an offense with our talent and scoring 17 points against KState, 7 against Tech (I’m not counting the 14 our D gave us) and our overall midseason offensive crapfest didn’t help.

I think it all comes down to who takes over. Can we PLEASE find one soon the wait is killing me
