Lawrence Journal World Story Suggests Harbaugh or Sumlin
As a former journalist, I know that when a story breaks... prognostication is sure to follow. This 'guessing game' is exactly that... a game. Of course, until anything is made certain through a press release or conference, we are all just trying to play a failed game of telephone.
Still, it is of note when reporters with contacts bring to the forefront two pretty important names. This article puts forth Harbaugh and Sumlin.
I won't go into details about their tenure in the NCAA D-1 football ranks... But it is interesting to note this author's benign response to the much-hyped probability that Harbaugh would bolt to Michigan as soon as possible.
Just curious what the RCT community thinks about Mr. Keegan's points. (I, in no way, am an advocate of all of Mr. Keegan's theories... just a consumer of news information and thought it was pertinent to the discussion)

I like both of those names from an immediate excitement standpoint...
Young, “hot” names…my biggest concern is what their future aspirations are. I don’t want to be looking for a new coach in two years again. Not sure if either wants to be in the NFL, or sees themselves at a “bigger” name job or not.
At some point though we have to be able to make a hire without fear of losing the guy. Continued support of the team, along with more W’s and this becomes a pretty good gig.
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
Gugh -
Interesting article but I just read about halfway down the comments before I threw up.
Personally I would love the Harbaugh hire. His wife is from KC and still has family there. I’m sure the Ann Arbor bridge can be mended but I do seem to remember the incident mentioned.
The jury’s still out on Sumlin for me. I do like that Rivet’s guy, Larry Fedora, was mentioned.
Me no likey Clint Bowen.
I've read 4 different sources siting like 8 different front runners haha
I have no idea who to believe, but there are certainly a lot of choices which is noice
It IS kinda nice being
somewhat relevant in college football.
It’s also a unique situation. A new HC would come into a program on the rise. Not a program that has just bottomed out and resulting in the firing of the old regime. I new HC could hit the ground running here and make a quick impact and get an early pay-day!
Me no likey Clint Bowen.
Harbaugh's presence
may also bring a conduit to NFL scouts, given that brother John is an NFL head coach. Just a thought…..
Haha I'm sorry but this was just too epic not to post (not my work)
