Whitlock not impressed.

No surprise here. Whitlock doesn't seem to like the hire to much. Talks about how Ball State gave away the MAC game and nothing Buffalo did impressed him. Sounds bitter to me.

I used to be ok with Whitlock

I’ve truly grown to hate his commentary now. He rarely has anything insightful to say and he continually says things that I thnk make him look horribly uncredible.

I did not realize Whitlock played football at Ball State

Which explains his negative gut reaction to “coach-of-Ball-State-opponent”. He warms toward Gill a bit at the end of his rant, and I expect he will continue to do so as the “coach-of-Ball-State-opponent” reaction wanes.

through a number of columns years ago, how Ball State was going to show up KSU when they played.

Whitlock's column is done in a vacuum of bitterness...

created because the Bulls were sick at taking the ball away in 2008. two points to counter his ‘fluke’ argument

1) UB was 3rd in the nation in turnover margin, we did it all year and we did it to everybody
2) The whole ‘ub was th efourth best team blah blah blah was crap’. CMU and WMU were lucky to beat Buffalo in 2008 and Ball state did not match up

As to ball state out gaining UB in the game, I should hope so they had three or four more possessions than Buffalo…
