Secret Commit... Andrew Turzilli, a 6'4'' WR from Jersey has committed to KU. Actually he committed back in August but nothing leaked out. He is not rated but is said to be a burner. Saw little clip on him on Youtube but can't tell much from it.

Saw this...
strange how many wideouts we seem to be loading up on…after the way this year has gone I’m somewhat of the opinion that we really need to focus on the trenches and take a page from Parcells building from the inside out. Dominant O-Line and D-Line and let the skilled positions work themselves out.
Any running back can look pretty damn good when he doesn’t get touched until the second level. Also, any quarterback looks a whole lot better when he can set up camp in the pocket and wait for receivers to find an opening. : )
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
another WR we may be able to get is Bud Sasser also
its between us and Mizzou. is little strange how we got couple quality WRs last year yet we are still getting at least 3 maybe 4 this year again even with the limited schollies available

I love Aaron Rodgers. Man crush galore
I am a Packer fan which you know. If we got his brother…. oh man. Restraining order may be in order. JK. No really I’m kidding.
And how many effing WRs are we going to have next year? Sheesh we got one frosh and two RS right now, Wilson’s back, and we have what 4 coming in next year with a shot at 5?
I love talent at WR but man, I might trade a few stud WR for a few stud OLmen. Benefit both the run and pass games as a whole. Then again our line is young, so hopefully it will only get better.

Ha, I go to Butte
Haven’t been to any football games, but I know they’re becoming a powerhouse. Won the state championship last year, went 7-3 this year. If I had known Rodgers was considering KU, I would’ve done some scouting for you.
Insanity is just a state of mind.
are we still talking about football?!?!?!
lol can't have a CKC without KC - Nicholai Khabibulin (LN21)

We do seem to be doing a nice job of getting skill position players- especially at wideout. But the biggest weakness of our program, IMO, is this:
We are just as fast as the elite programs on the offensive line, defensive line, and linebacking corps…except their guys are 10-20 pounds bigger than ours, on average. We have to be able to get bigger and stronger at those three levels if we want to consistently compete in a conference like the Big 12.
Good schemes that are well-executed are great. But at some point, you need to be able to go man on man and physically dominate your opponent.

I might argue that we are not even as fast as the elite programs
Even against USF last year. They seemed to be quicker across the board. But then, they are recruiting in Florida…

Two other random points
1. Have we ever really recruited New Jersey before? There’s a surprising amount of talent that comes out of that state- could be a good sign for things to come.
2. Remember, these kids could always be moved around to CB or Safety. If this kid really does have elite speed, at 6’4 he could be a devastating corner- you aren’t winning jump balls against him!

I think NFL scouts would drool a pool
If an elite 6’4 corner surfaced.

uhh...
yeah, but when one of the most important things at the position is being able to swing your hips and change direction quickly…6’4" can be a bit of a disadvantage. If there is a guy out there with that height and that ability…he’s going to be a wealthy man.
