In case I'm running late tonight I thought I'd throw this up now. OGT for tonights game. Exhibition game 2, season starts Friday and we will have a bonafide OGT for that one. Also this Friday Harrison Barnes is announcing his decision, can we break the hat presser curse?

Not optimistic on Barnes, I'm afraid

All the chatter is UNC, but I sure hope that’s wrong. Regardless, I applaud HCBS’s desire to go for the top talent in the class. Sadly, we’re just not gonna get all of them.

I’ve got KU by 43 tonight, btw.

It's rather ironic that people will actually have to pay money to see Michael Moore's new Anti-Capitalism film, don't you think?

My girlfriend went to nursing school at PSU.

Its gonna be a bloodbath baby! PURE HATRED. Actually no, because she is an avid KU fan and also because she is working tonight.

I’ve got KU by 30. Feel like lots of different guys will get PT. KU 86, PSU 56.2

I'm guessing KU goes at least 90+

43 is a safe guess. I’ll take 41.

I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.

what up folks

I couldn’t even look at the site since Saturday because it’s just so depressing. Football season is over. Came back tonight, though, since we’ve got a new group of guys to look forward to rooting for.

Luckily

the only problem with KU b-ball is deciding which talented player may redshirt because he won’t get enough minutes. :)

woohooo KU basketball

Since all my fav football teams seem to have plunged off a cliff this year, I’m overjoyed to see hoops action. Looking for good things from the boys this year!!!!!

Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.
10/28--The Koolaid buzz is beginning to wear off. Maybe drop this back to my original thoughts on the year. Chiefs go 6-10 (and that my be optimistic!). LJ gets a restraining order to stay 1400 yards away from the Chiefs. I'll let the rest stand for now.

Dude I'm a Packer fan

We lost to TAMPA BAY sunday. Thats not only plunging off a cliff, its grabbing a shovel and digging deeper once you hit rock bottom.

by KU Grad 08 on Nov 10, 2009 6:51 PM CST up reply actions

lol

still doing WAY better than the Chiefs…however the Pack can boast of the most sacked QB. Wow..how did that happen?

Our line is terrible

We had stiff competition in training camp and took a “wow these guys won the job outright in camp, so lets cut our veterans who have been anchors on the line (Tauscher)” and then the new guys who supposedly won the job are getting beat like red headed step children.

I can’t believe Rodgers leads the league in passing (at least in terms of yards and qb rating). It sucks too because we have such weapons on offense at WR (Jennings, Driver, J. Jones, Nelson) and Jermichael FInley has come on beatman esque at TE. Grant is a dangerous runner in the open field. But in football it all starts in the trenches…sigh

So here is my thinking

TB at Bring on the Cats said that me using cursewords in OGT was gave me no right to object to him telling KU fans to “go fuck themselves.” Thus I think we should swear like drunkenly sailors during this thread.

its "wont to"...

and Roy has it all in his Pinky finger so don’t count on our players having any.

And we have that want to tonight and play gosh darn motivated.

I just hope this doesn't mean

HCBS will have to pass out on the sidelines a couple of times. That was always a strange thing with Roy. Hard to believe they can’t figure out what causes his fainting spells.

It's friggin crazy

…how little this team needs X at this point. I’m sure that’ll change when the competition level goes up. But for now, a top 5 national recruit is a scrub. Wow.

by KennyGregoryRockThaCradle on Nov 10, 2009 8:46 PM CST reply actions

We'll need his outside shot the most I think

If he can consistantly shoot 3s at a 43% clip or so, our offense will be that much better

by KU Grad 08 on Nov 10, 2009 8:48 PM CST up reply actions

Yea, a 6'6" guy with a good stroke

is going to be handy. Though the Morris’s & T-Rob have been dominating tonight.

by hunter s. royal on Nov 10, 2009 8:49 PM CST up reply actions

I'm not hoping for a 43% 3 pt percentage, but I'll take it.

I’ll take anything about 35%

I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.

I'm thinking...

Bill Self needs to stick around for another 25 years and get to 1,000 wins. I’d like that.

That would be fun.

That's 20 really good years.

I mean, 30 wins a year is no joke. I used 25 assuming we would have more down years like last year ;D

by SlamDunkTheFunk on Nov 10, 2009 8:55 PM CST up reply actions

So going to average about 32 wins a year?

I can see that happening.

Quick Review:

Seniors (1 that matters): Lighter, faster, making better decisions
Juniors (2 that matter): Diversified their offensive games; stronger
Sophomores (3 that matter): VASTLY improved physically; much more confident and intelligent on the court.
Freshmen (5): Have the potential of being the greatest class in Kansas basketball history.

…That about sum it up?

Yes.

They needed to borrow a few guys for this game. :)

They've struggled a bit the last few years, but generally yes.

Not the monster that NW Misery is, but a damn good D2 program.
