I'm in

Not sure about the draft time, but for now, it’ll work.

It's rather ironic that people will actually have to pay money to see Michael Moore's new Anti-Capitalism film, don't you think?

Well

We’ve got 2 of us. Still a long way to go.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

by KTJ on Oct 8, 2009 10:50 PM CDT up reply actions

no kidding

on the bright side, we’ll both have super stacked teams if it’s just the two of us.

NO kidding

I’m covering a shift that day and will be at work for the draft…just like I was for the baseball draft. Should be fun. Or something.

I thought you knew that algebra was all razzamatazz. A Globetrotter always saves the good algebra for the final minutes.

Hey,

there are only three signed up so far, so if we need to move the draft, let’s move the draft and make all the late (or non) joiners deal with the stupid autodraft.

Exactly

Tell me when it will work.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

by KTJ on Oct 9, 2009 7:55 PM CDT up reply actions

I'll take that as one vote "nay"

So far you’re in the lead. Depends on if any of the other lazy readers want in or not.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

No no

You guys misunderstand. I think doing fantasy drafts at work is bad ass. I mean, I’m getting paid to create fake sports teams. Tell me where the downside of this is? If we could push it back like, 2 hours, I would be absolutely golden =D

I don't know much about hockey

And I can’t promise to update my team every day so I’m always a strong matchup, however I will still play to boost the league. I like Hockey, just not as knowledgeable about it as I am with 1)Football and 1a) basketball.

So now that you guys know, I’d still play. I just don’t want to be an easy constant win because I don’t know as much as other players to be an issue with anybody. Because it might happen (I hope not)

by KU Grad 08 on Oct 9, 2009 10:27 PM CDT reply actions

It's rotissierie scoring

So don’t worry much about updating every day.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

by KTJ on Oct 9, 2009 11:28 PM CDT up reply actions

What is rotisserie scoring?

Scores updated weekly? is it points based and not by wins. Please forgive my ignorance, I’ve only played fantasy NFL football and nothing else.

by KU Grad 08 on Oct 9, 2009 11:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Based on points and stats

Not head to head matchups. For sports like hockey it is the better way to go. You get points for where you are in each statistical category.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

Great news!

You have another sucker signed up, so you probably won’t finish last. It doesn’t matter much to me when the draft is, so whatever’s convenient for the rest of you.

Is Labba on vacation or something? Seems like this would be right up his alley.

by hunter s. royal on Oct 9, 2009 11:04 PM CDT reply actions

Well when KU Grad gets his team, we’ll be halfway there! Now to figure out how to sucker rockchalk, Denver, and KC into playing, and we’re set.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

I'm in

With a Theo Fleurry themed team in light of the recent news. LETS DO THIS! I’m excited, it gives me something to be excited about all winter/spring apart from the fighting Hawks march to a title.

by KU Grad 08 on Oct 9, 2009 11:52 PM CDT up reply actions

hmmm.

I might be in…

When are we talking? With just a few teams, I wouldn’t be adverse to an autodraft especially that there are some less-knowledgeable owners participating.

Wait. Sarah Palin's in Hong Kong? But who's watching Russia?

by labbadabba on Oct 9, 2009 11:39 PM CDT reply actions

I wouldn't either

But it will basically end up being an autodraft, since most people will just go with the recommended picks. Whatever you guys decide.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

by KTJ on Oct 9, 2009 11:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Is there a way to autodraft

but excluding certain players? Say, the entire Detroit Red Wings team? If I get caught rooting for one of them, my wife is probably gonna kill me. For her, Red Wings=everything that is evil and wrong in the world.

They are terrible creatures.

And Live drafts are winrar.

But seriously

I’m A-OK with an autodraft, I think.

by labbadabba on Oct 13, 2009 9:38 AM CDT reply actions

As it stands right now, we need 4 more people! Sign up, tell your friends, it will be fun. Draft is tomorrow, but can be postponed if necessary.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

Should I open the league to the public?

I’d really rather not, but I think we’ve reached our maximum number of players from here.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

by KTJ on Oct 16, 2009 2:34 PM CDT reply actions

It would suck

but we’re already a couple weeks into the season. We just need a few more people or to scrap the whole thang.
