Whats up Todd?
If you watched the game yesterday, you saw something far scarier than just a loss to OU. KU fans saw the fall of one of their gods. Todd Reesing was proven to be just a mere mortal. In my few years following Kansas football, I have never seen Reesing have a bad game. I have seen average games, and just ok games, but never downright awful games.
You could see it from his first throw. It was long, but that wasn't the problem. It was the look on his face when he threw it. He just looked bewildered, and stunned, and a little bit scared. When he threw the pick six, he looked defeated, and sad. He didn't even try to pursue, something that I don't like at all. He unbuckled his helmet, and walked to the sidelines, while the rest of his team busted their butt chasing after his mistake. He did not look like "Sparky". The spark died for a while last night, and I hope to God that it comes back sometime soon, because that team needs him. He wills that team into winning. We saw superb efforts by everyone on that team, and still, because of one players off day, they lost. So please Todd, whatever is troubling you, whatever happened last game, shake it off, because KU has some games to win.

agrees.
It’s also awfully quiet here today…
Wait. Sarah Palin's in Hong Kong? But who's watching Russia?

The problem is more than yesterday
unfortunately. Todd was uneven against UTEP,(check out the number of jokes about him partying in Mexico the night before in the OGT) and awful in the first half of last weeks loss. He’s obviously spoiled us by being so fantastic for so long, but Reesing has not had a particularly good year, and we’re just not far enough along as a program to overcome inconsistent QB play. Reality sucks sometimes. (along with the Big 12 North)

Yep.
And we’re more than halfway through the season at this point. This is the Todd Reesing we’ll have from here on out, IMO.
It’s interesting that Chase Daniel, Colt McCoy, Reesing, Bradford (although his pre-injury sample size was tiny, to be fair) and even Tim Tebow all seemed to regress a little bit as their careers came towards an end. Probably a combination of opponents being able to make adjustments with more film to watch, a series of nicks and minor injuries that never really go away but start to take their toll, and maybe a bit of complacency.

The O line play has been an issue too.
At least for Reesing and Bradford, having the two least experienced lines does make a difference.
I’d argue that McCoy’s season has looked good when he’s getting protection from his line and bad when he isn’t. UT and OU are also both missing the sort of receiving corps/QB comfort that KU benefits from.
I can’t say anything about Daniel. I kinda feel like it was more a team regression than an individual regression.

The saying goes
one time is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, three times is a trend.
Texas Tech gives Reesing the opportunity to erase all recent memories and buck the trend.
But like Miles says in Risky Business, "Every now and then say, “What the fuck.” “What the fuck” gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.
Throw the ball, Todd. Jayhawk Nation needs you to say “What the fuck” and make your move.

idk
i remember todd having a pretty awful game against TT last year…at least two picks i want to say. that being said he hasn’t looked good the last couple of games.
"He once had an awkward moment, just to see what it felt like - He is the most interesting man in the world"

Let's just say
there is a good reason Todd didn’t chase after the pick-6. And it’s not a reason you like to hear as a KU fan.

care to expand upon that?
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
