Darius Parish to move to O-line?
I saw him working with the O-lineman in the warmup at the Insight Bowl.
Man I could getr very excited about the prospect of he and John Williams as KU's OG's for the next 3 years.
Both are 6-4 and over 325 lbs.
Add Spikes and Hatch to the situation and I would fell great about the future of the O-line.
Parish possibly moving to offense would be one reason KU recruited the DT out of Blinn JC.

I myself didn't notice that...
I’ll be honest I think the guys got a bright future at DT and would be a bit surprised by the move. Also he was pretty involved on the goal line stand during the bowl game as well.
As far as Stephens being recruited, probably has more to do with building some depth at the spot and with his versatility he probably get’s more pressure from the DT spot than many of our others.
Definitely an interesting thought and I’d be curious to see what others think, but I for one would prefer him and Zlatnik blowing up the middle of Big 12 offensive lines for the next few years.
Another thing to look for in spring ball though.
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
BTW...Thanks for the insight...on the Insight Bowl
anything else you noticed worth mentioning???

agreed
he’s built like a DT. It would make for an interesting switch. Having played both O-Line and D-Line they are completely different techniques.
Barfield at OLB
I swear I saw Barfield working with the LB’s but I’m not 100% sure. I mentioned it to a freind who said there might be a double number situation.
If Barfield could get to 210 lbs or so with his sppeed he’d be a real fast OLB.
That would be another interesting one...
started the year listed at only 178, he would need to back on a bunch of weight in a hurry to fill that role.
Didn’t see a double number though, unless there is a walk on.

I like him at DT, personally.
He was one of the key reasons we made that goalline stand, without question. And, he is one of the rawest players on our team, as he never really had serious coaching until he actually came to KU. He got by this year mostly on raw ability and a single year of coaching.
Now, if the coaches move him, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was for good reasons. The coaching staff knows what it’s doing. It’s just that, from where I’m standing, he would be a better DT than OG.
I'm w/you...
w/good coaching and a full year in the training room…he could be a beast up front.
