Greatest punt EVER!!!!!
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
he did play a major factor...
in the Mizzou game…without him we don’t have the field position on those last two drives

Big fan of the 2 Phillip Strozier votes!!!

Here's a name I'll throw out there for other...
Willie O’Quinn…anytime a walk on can draw notice from the head coach as a true freshman, he must be doing something right.

Also I wonder if the voters for Branstetter are...
voting for his kicking abilities…or…
the 7 tackles that were all fairly significant in a lot instances

his kicking may not have been a big problem...
but I’d put my money on the latter. A season long of 34 yards is not exactly what we’re looking for…

Honestly though
Even in Mangino had a solid kicker, he would rather go for it when its 4th and 5 on the 35. He’ s like the anti-Herm. You can tell he dies a little everytime he sends the kicking unit on. I love that.
I agree...
Mangino has always seemed a little gun-shy when it comes to taking the longer kicks

You're right...
but I think that also has something to do with the leg strength of Webb and now Branstetter. Both solid kickers and by last year, Webb had certainly gotten stronger, but neither have really shown much BOOM.

It would be interesting to see...
how he would handle a big leg, accurate kicker…

My vote for Branstetter had a lot to do
with his tackles. I think he saved at least 2 TDs and probably 3 other long returns. Also, Rojas was wildly dissapointing until the end of the season. He turned it on enough at the end that we should be high on him going into next season.

Branstetter making a run...
draws it even at 10

Just thought of another...
in the other column…Kayl Anderson, our Longsnapper…and before you laugh, tell me 1 time in the last two years we had a bad snap.

Tough choice because special teams were not good for much of the year.
Agree with Esteban that Branstetter was great at making tackles, but my vote went for Rojas. Thought he came up huge in the last two victories which defined our year.

Branstetter
We could easily have been like Texas Tech, and not be able to do anything in our kicking game. He was a steady kicker, who complements the offense perfectly, because, honestly, we aren’t going to want to kick FGs from the 35-40, we want touchdowns in this league.
Insanity is just a state of mind.
Branstetter made a valient effort but...
Alonso Rojas wins this one and I can’t help but think the final two wins of the season and his contribution to those were major, major factors.
