"RCT Readers Choice Awards"

Up next Newcomer of the year, and again there will be an other category for this one in case there is someone I missed.  Remember if you vote other, we need the player name in the comments so the vote can count.

In terms of the nominees, eligible players included true freshman, redshirt freshman and junior college transfers.

Very tough decision...

I went with Patterson, but I’m not convinced he’s the choice. After some early struggles, Hatch really turned into a good LT. RJJ, injuries aside, was a really good DT for us. And despite not showing up on the stat sheet, I really liked what Biere did as well. I think Spikes may have struggled just enough that he’s not quite on the same level, but definitely made a good contribution and has a ton of promise going forward.

I agree...

this was by far the one most difficulty for me so far.

Patterson, once comfortable at corner was very valuable for us.

Hatch and Spike I felt both developed into clear longterm staples on the offensive line

RJJ, couldn’t have said it better…take the injuries away and he was probably our best push in the middle early in the year.

Biere, once he was in I think he really helped with the transition for Spikes and Hatch…he’ll be a factor for the next several years

All that said I did take Patterson as well simply from the standpoint of how many areas he helped contribute in.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.

If nothing else...

just remember all the instability from the PR position just one year ago and appreciate how much he helped stabilize that – aside from a little hiccup mid-season.

Went with Hatch

He stepped up nicely this year.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

After Hatch jumped out early...

the little guy Daymond Patterson ran away with it…congrats to Daymond
