My First Football Game

I am a die hard KU fan. I have been to numerous basketball games but have never made it to a football game since i live in Illinois. I am attending my first football game the weekend of the 20th. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on some good tailgating spots? If tickets are needed to get into some spots would anybody have any idea on getting these tickets? I thank anyone who has helpful advise...and as always....Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU

First off...
welcome, secondly where in Illinois are you from???…as far as your question I have heard the new parking can be a bit of a mess…your best bet is to get there early and park on one of the side streets if you don’t have a pass…if your just looking to do some drinking before the game I kind of like grabbin a 6 pack and headin up to the hill…good people watching and you can usually find some friends…another spot and I’m not sure if they still do it but triangle fraternity used to sell spots in their parking lot and yard and it seemed to have a pretty good crowd and close to the stadium…just up the hill on 11th I think…hope this helps a little and have a good time

I didn't...
make it to any last year in Lawrence just out here when they played CU in Boulder and at Arrowhead for the Missouri game…I have family that goes to most games and I will be back for the KU vs. CU game in Lawrence again this year as well as the KU vs. MU at arrowhead.

Yeah, i saw Statefarm was hosting the KU vs MU game….I work for statefarm so i tried to get some tickets but they are all sold out as they should be….hopefully another game with two undefeated teams playing!?!?! haha
