Interesting News Regarding the Chalmers, Arthur Incident...
ESPN is reporting that Michael Beasley has been fined $50,000 by the league in connection to the widely talked about incident at the NBA rookie symposium involving former Jayhawks Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur. The article states the fine is a result of a lack of cooperation with the league and authorities in the investigation.
Now we all knew that Beasley was in the room at the time but I find two things interesting. One why was he never mentioned in the initial story, this would have led me to believe and still does that his involvement in the ordeal was minimal. However the second thing i notice is his fine is more than double that of what Chalmers and Arthur recieved. This would lead me to believe that perhaps he was in fact the primary problem in this case although I am sure that all parties are guilty of poor judement in some respect. Interesting news to say the least and I'll be curious if anything more comes of this.

The reporting on this whole incident has been terrible. First it was, “CHALMERS AND ARTHUR CAUGHT SMOKING MARIJUANA!” Several days later, “…oh by the way, no marijuana or paraphinalia were ever found.” Now it’s, “oh by the way, Michael Beasley was also in the room, and he was fined twice as much as the other two.”
Is it really that hard for a reporter to do their job and get all the facts in this case?

no doubt it's been a strange one and it's too bad...
the majority of casual fans in the country probably made their assessments on the situation after the initial report that came out.
