Ballyhooed men’s basketball recruit Xavier Henry reportedly has expanded his list of possible college destinations.
According to CBSSportsline.com, Henry had narrowed his finalists to Kansas University and Memphis and was to announce his decision at last weekend’s LeBron James Skills Academy.
"I was going to make an announcement this week about where I’m going to college, but then I found out I’m still not sure," Henry told CBSSportsline. "I talked it over with my mom and dad, and now I’m not really sure where I want to go."
Henry, a 6-foot-6 guard, now plans to visit Texas and UCLA, too, before deciding between his now-four finalists.

uh oh
This scares me. Henry is my favorite play from the 2009 class. I really don’t like that we have such a big incoming class this year. I think there is a big gap in the top talent from this year to 2009. I really don’t feel good about adding career reserve players this year and not allocating enough scholoarships for the 2009 class where we are a top name on many lists and the talent actually matches the ratings.
Agreed to an extent.
Although Bill Self likely knows the scholarship situation and how realistic of chances we have with most of these guys better than we do.
Although, it does seem kind of silly to seemingly “waste” a schollie on a lesser-rated prospect, like Quintrell Thomas for example, and give us one less to play with in this star-studded Class of 2009.
