Has anyone else been really impressed with the Morris twins?

I've been really impressed with the Morris twins early on in this 2 game season. This is what I've seen.

  • 2 strong forces on the boards
  • 2 strong forces in the post

What else is there to ask for? Besides not being able to tell them apart they've been flawless.  Here's some things I'd like to see from other players.

  • Maybe a bit more rebounds from Cole but he has benn great at everything else.
  • More assistis by Collins
  • More points from Tyrel (mainly a better 3 pt percentage)
What are your thoughs?

In the limited gametime I've seen so far...

the Morris twins definetely have a ton of upside and have been very happy with the board work. Self continues to praise these two in terms of talent and at this point I would have a hard time disagreeing with him.

As far as Cole…he’ll get there, keep in mind he is the primary shot blocker on this team as well and several times in the FGCU game he forced the opponent to change their shot which in turn created a miss and a rebound for a teammate. He is very long and disruptive and Self let’s those guys get after it.

Reed…love him as a shooter, hard to judge much else at this point but I think in the open thread I mentioned Lee Humphrey from Florida a couple years back as someone he reminds me of. Humphrey wasn’t the most talented on that team by far but he was a spark behind the line that was critical to their back to back run.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.

The Morris twins have impressed so far, sure.

Especially considering they only got clearance from the NCAA later on in the process than everyone else, and are dealing with less practice time.

They still are shooting too many jumpers, and look lost on offense too much, but they have made plenty of progress.

Both have a boatload of potential, and they are crucial to any success we have this year and next year. And they are the two best rebounders on the team.

Very impressive.

Combined with a MUCH improved Cole Aldrich and suddenly our front court looks pretty good considering the team got cleaned out after last season.
